Marguerite was one of 21 visual artists participating in the '99 International Festival of the Arts. Marguerite explained the CREATION art quilt through a translator while being videotaped in the Yunnan Institute of Art gallery.

She taught her process of inspiration and design to the students at the Yunnan Institute of Art and the Institute of Nationalities. In a show and tell teaching style, process samples were explained and passed around the class.

In the spirit of friendship and cultural exchange, the international artists and Chinese art professors met to discuss views on art and being artists. Artists from the West became art ambassadors at this critical time in world relations.

The university students were refreshingly interested, delightful, and gracious. Eager to try out their English, two of our new friends took us shopping by Green Lake where we came across these irresistible bunnies.
